Forging an "Industry Ecosystem" for AI and Digital Transformation
As manufacturing accelerates toward AI applications and digital transformation, continuous technological upgrades and ecosystem integration have become pivotal strategies for development. Addressing this trend, Chairman Patrick Chen pointed out that the machine tool industry must actively invest in smart manufacturing. By connecting machine builders, component manufacturers, software developers, and system integrators, the industry can co-create an "industry ecosystem." This will ensure Taiwan evolves from a traditional manufacturer into an integrated innovator in the global market. He also called upon members to utilize the TMBA platform to accelerate industrial upgrading.
Co-creating New Value through Collective Participation
During the events, Secretary General Timothy Chen shared the progress of TMBA’s seven functional committees, which have spent years accumulating achievements in digital transformation, standardization, ESG sustainability, and talent cultivation. He emphasized that these results depend entirely on the participation and support of member companies. Moving forward, he hopes more members will engage in association affairs to co-create new value through project collaborations and committee operations.
Expert Insights and Business Matchmaking
The program featured professional organizations, such as PwC Taiwan, to share practical experience in corporate succession, equity governance, and tax management, providing members with actionable advice that was highly well-received. The networking sessions allowed machine builders, component manufacturers, and technical service providers from various regions to engage in deep dialogue and explore potential business opportunities. Several new members also attended for the first time, further strengthening their sense of identity and connection with the association.
Looking Ahead: TMTS 2026
In response to the enthusiastic feedback, TMBA will continue to serve as a bridge for integration by organizing more thematic and cross-disciplinary exchange platforms through regional events and digital integration.
Furthermore, TMBA cordially invites all members to participate in the Taiwan International Machine Tool Show (TMTS 2026), held from March 25 to 28, 2026, at the Taichung International Exhibition Center. With the theme "AI-Powered × Sustainable Manufacturing," the exhibition will serve as a premier stage to showcase Taiwan’s integrated technological strength and international cooperation opportunities. Members are encouraged to exhibit and expand their global market presence as the industry moves toward its next major milestone.
