TMBA 6th Term, 3rd General Assembly: Committees Continue Driving Industrial Innovation and Sustainable Development

The Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) held its 6th Term, 3rd General Assembly and Volunteer Alliance Awards Ceremony on October 22. Representatives from major domestic associations and academic institutions gathered for the event. Distinguished guests included Senior Advisor Shen Jong-Chin from the Office of the President, Deputy Speaker Chiang Chi-Chen of the Legislative Yuan, Secretary-General Lin De-Sheng of the Industrial Development Administration, Deputy Director-General Hu Chi-Juan of the International Trade Administration, Counselor Chiang Chen-Wei from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director Hsu Mao-Hsin of the Central Taiwan Science Park Bureau, Branch Director Ji Shih-Tsung of the Taichung Office of the Industrial Park Administration, Deputy Mayor Huang Kuo-Jung of Taichung City Government, and Director Chang Feng-Yuan of the Economic Development Bureau of Taichung City Government.

 

In his speech, TMBA Chairman Patrick Chen emphasized that TMBA serves as a strong support system for its member companies. The association has established seven major committees to promote sustainable development and is gradually implementing Product Category Rules (PCR) for carbon emission management, providing relevant data support to member enterprises. Highlighting Taichung’s pivotal role in the machine tool industry, Chen urged members to embrace transformation through technological innovation and digitalization, applying new technologies and digital tools to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while enhancing product value to meet changing market conditions.

 

The association continues to collaborate with academic institutions and prioritizes employee re-education, particularly in digitalization and AI technology training, ensuring the workforce keeps pace with industrial transformation. TMBA also promotes Taiwan’s machine tool industry internationally through exhibitions and fosters cross-industry cooperation to strengthen supply chain resilience and advance integrated ecosystem development. In terms of digital smart applications and knowledge management, TMBA underscores the importance of AI technology, leveraging digital tools to improve industrial efficiency and drive smart development. Looking ahead, TMBA will maintain close cooperation with the government and various sectors to continuously promote industrial innovation and sustainable growth, aiming to enhance Taiwan’s competitiveness in the global machine tool market.
