Celebrating Excellence and Innovation: TMBA Shines at the 79th Industrial Day Celebration

On November 11, the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) hosted a grand celebration for the 79th Industrial Day at the iconic Grand Hotel Taipei. The event served as a prestigious platform to honor outstanding directors and supervisors of national industrial and mining organizations, recognize high-performing groups, and present certificates of appreciation to over 1,200 manufacturing firms with long-standing histories of entrepreneurship.

A Double Triumph for TMBA

Among the day’s most significant highlights, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA) was bestowed with the "Top Excellence Award for National Professional Organizations" by the Ministry of the Interior. As the highest distinction in national organizational evaluations, this award underscores TMBA’s exceptional performance in organizational governance, member services, and industrial policy advocacy. It further reflects the Association’s successful efforts in spearheading industrial upgrades and sustainable development.

In a "double celebration" for the Association, TMBA Vice Chairman Chen Cheng was honored with the "Outstanding Director and Supervisor Award." This recognition celebrates his long-term dedication to the Association’s operations and his significant contributions to public affairs within the industry.

Furthermore, TMBA member firm Takisawa Taiwan Co., Ltd. received a certificate of appreciation for its 50th anniversary, recognizing its half-century of contributions to Taiwan’s industrial landscape.

A Vision for the Future: AI and Resilience

The celebration was graced by distinguished guests, including President Lai Ching-te, Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung, and Minister of Economic Affairs Kung Ming-hsin. The event was opened by Pan Chun-jung, Chairman of the CNFI.

In his keynote address, President Lai emphasized that industry is the vital cornerstone of the national economy. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to standing alongside the industrial sector to drive Taiwan’s structural transformation.

Addressing the global waves of AI and digitalization, the President highlighted the government’s push for the "New Ten Major AI Projects," designed to catalyze the transition to smart manufacturing. He also noted ongoing efforts to deepen Taiwan-U.S. economic cooperation through equitable trade negotiations, helping domestic industries integrate into global supply chains. President Lai pledged to continue improving the investment environment—ensuring stable supplies of water, electricity, land, and talent—to build a more competitive manufacturing base.

The President concluded by encouraging the industry to leverage Taiwan’s "innovative resilience" amidst the trends of net-zero emissions and intelligence, working together for industrial sustainability and economic prosperity.

Looking Ahead

Moving forward, TMBA remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting smart manufacturing, low-carbon transformation, and international collaboration. By assisting member companies in their journey toward sustainable development, TMBA aims to lead the industry into a new era of competitive, intelligent, and green manufacturing.
