On December 5, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) held a meaningful donation ceremony where Takizawa Technology custom-built seven sets of “Prognostic Diagnostic Teaching and Research Equipment” for the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The equipment, valued at over NT$10 million, was officially donated through a contract signed by NCHU President Fu-Chih Chan and Takizawa Technology’s Managing Director Yun-Chin Tai. The university presented a certificate of appreciation to Takizawa Technology, witnessed by Dean Ming-Te Yang of the College of Mechanical Engineering, Department Chair Jui-Yu Chien, Deputy Chair Shih-Ming Wang, Professor Yi-Cheng Huang, and faculty and students.

This donation not only enhances educational resources but also provides students with hands-on learning opportunities to gain in-depth knowledge of smart spindle bearing life and ball screw operation prognostic diagnostic technologies. It integrates practical training with innovative teaching, guiding students toward Industry 4.0 and green intelligent machinery platforms. Related departments will benefit from flexible applications in teaching, research, and manufacturing management, demonstrating the tangible benefits of industry-academia collaboration.

The technology applied in these devices supports predictive maintenance, helping reduce energy consumption and achieve eco-friendly, high-efficiency machine tools, setting a new benchmark for green manufacturing.

Takizawa’s support for NCHU not only exemplifies close industry-academia cooperation but also reflects its commitment to investing in the future of smart machine tool manufacturing.

  • Energy Efficiency Improvement:

The technology optimizes machine tool system operations, reducing energy waste. Predictive maintenance ensures equipment runs in optimal condition, achieving energy-saving and carbon-reduction effects.

  • Enhanced Production Efficiency:

By detecting and predicting potential failures in advance, production interruptions caused by mechanical breakdowns are avoided, improving efficiency and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions during manufacturing.

  • Optimal Resource Utilization:

Predictive maintenance helps schedule maintenance reasonably, minimizing unnecessary downtime, improving equipment utilization, and creating higher production efficiency.

  • Extended Equipment Lifespan:

Effective maintenance techniques extend the life of spindle bearings and ball screws, reducing replacement frequency, lowering the carbon footprint of new equipment manufacturing, and minimizing environmental impact from scrapped machines.

As a leading machine tool manufacturer, Takizawa Technology adheres to its corporate philosophy of “altruism” and “mutual benefit,” consistently striving to contribute to society. With the mission of “Using machines to nurture a better future,” Takizawa hopes this collaboration will foster more innovation and cooperation between academia and industry.
