TMBA Organizes Taiwan Pavilion at SIMTOS 2024 to Showcase Smart Machinery Innovation
The Korea International Machine Tool Show (SIMTOS), held at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Seoul, along with the Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF), the China CNC Machine Tool Fair (CCMT), and the Taiwan International Machine Tool Show (TMTS), are the four major events in Asia’s machine tool industry. Since 1984, these exhibitions have served as key platforms for networking and trade in Northeast Asia’s machine tool sector and represent an excellent opportunity for Taiwanese manufacturers to enter the Korean market.
SIMTOS 2024 will run for five days starting April 1 and marks its 20th edition. It is Korea’s largest professional machine tool exhibition and hosts the highest number of international exhibitors. Looking back at 2022, despite significant downsizing due to the pandemic—with 854 exhibitors and 4,825 booths—the event still attracted nearly 80,000 domestic and international visitors. SIMTOS 2024 features a record-breaking scale with 1,300 exhibitors from 35 countries and 6,170 booths, setting a new milestone in the show’s history.
This year’s SIMTOS adopts the theme “Be a Part of SIMTOS,” emphasizing manufacturing technology and digital transformation. The special exhibition “MADE in SIMTOS” is divided into three themed halls: “AI Factory,” “CNC Systems,” and “Robotic Equipment,” offering opportunities to explore industrial digital transformation solutions that have already penetrated production and manufacturing bases. According to the organizers, the five-day event attracted 101,233 professional buyers.
Taiwanese exhibitors organized by the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) include eight companies: Kao Ming, Kao Fong, Mytrix, Chin Hung, Hiwin, Jiuh-Fu, Cheng Chiao, and Shih Sheng. Their showcased products include CNC machining centers, gear grinding machines, high-speed precision lathes, CNC rotary tables, ball screws, linear guides, quick clamps, indexing tables, dividing heads, and tool magazines for integrated cutting machining centers.
The Taiwan Pavilion organized by TMBA also participated in the “Smart Machinery Overseas Promotion Program” executed by the Precision Machinery Research & Development Center (PMC). TMBA actively attended press conferences and product launches to enhance exposure and strengthen the image of its exhibitors.
