The 20th edition of the Vietnam Ho Chi Minh International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools, and Metalworking Exhibition (MTA Vietnam 2024) was held from July 2 to July 5 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event attracted 15,552 visitors from over 23 countries and regions worldwide, setting a new record for attendance.

This year’s venue meets international exhibition standards and is the largest in Vietnam. The newly completed Hall B, inaugurated in 2022, was officially utilized, providing a more spacious area for business promotion and networking. MTA Vietnam 2024 is the largest and most international trade show in Vietnam for machine tools, precision engineering, and metalworking technologies. It is highly regarded by local industry players and has become a must-attend event. Exhibits included various machine tools and metalworking products and components such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, cutting tools, and fixtures.

The exhibition aligned with future trends, featuring digital control programming, robotics and automation, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, laser processing, and other advanced technologies. Several seminars were held on topics such as automation, smart factories, and AI applications, along with demonstrations of robotics and automation technologies. Visitors gained insights into market dynamics and accessed an excellent platform for networking and entering the Vietnamese market.

Nearly 500 exhibitors from 23 countries participated, covering a total exhibition area of over 15,000 square meters. National pavilions were organized by Taiwan, China, Singapore, South Korea, Germany, and Italy. Taiwanese exhibitors, organized by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, included HIWIN, Tailift, Taiwan Takisawa, JY Machinery, and Maxin, among a total of 30 companies. Many internationally renowned manufacturers such as Japan’s FANUC, MAZAK, MAKINO, Germany’s TRUMPF, the UK’s RENISHAW, and India’s Ace Miromatic also actively participated, underscoring the show’s global reputation.

Both Halls A and B featured dedicated Taiwan Pavilion areas, designed with a national image theme. The impressive “TAIWAN” signage was prominently displayed throughout both halls, achieving excellent promotional results. Following the exhibition, many exhibitors recognized Vietnam’s market potential and inquired about registering for the Hanoi show in October, while expressing their commitment to participate in next year’s Ho Chi Minh event. The success of this year’s exhibition speaks for itself.
