The 66th MSV Brno International Engineering Fair (MSV 2025) successfully took place from October 7–10, 2025, at the Brno Exhibition Centre. As Central Europe’s largest and most influential industrial event, this year’s MSV focused on the critical theme of “Industry Transformation,” attracting 1,356 exhibitors from 40 countries and over 55,000 professional visitors. Nearly 80% of attendees hold decision-making power, with one-third in senior management, highlighting MSV’s value as a business collaboration platform.

Industry Trends: AI, Automation, and Sustainable Transformation

MSV 2025 spotlighted four key trends reshaping industry: digitalization, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and energy transition. The fair emphasized Industry 4.0 and Digital Factories, with the latter serving as a practical platform for implementing digital transformation.

Key initiatives included:

  • Digital Factory 2.0: Interactive exhibits demonstrating AI applications in manufacturing

  • ROBOTY 2025: Showcasing robotics to drive industrial automation

  • 3D EXPO: Focused on additive manufacturing technologies

Sustainability and circular economy were also highlighted, alongside forums such as the Czech Energy Association Forum (promoting low-carbon energy solutions) and the DefenCEO Summit for senior executives in engineering and defense, where 74% of participants were CEOs or general managers.

Taiwan Pavilion in Hall P: Government Support, Precision Tech, and Targeted Marketing

Hall P, the largest at MSV, focused on machine tools and industrial robots. Led by the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA), Taiwanese precision component manufacturers actively promoted Central and Eastern Europe as a new growth market.

With support from the Taichung City Government, participating companies expanded overseas business opportunities, strengthened Taiwan’s machine tool cluster export capabilities, and reinforced Taichung’s global standing as a machine tool hub.

Digital Marketing Success and Buyer Engagement

Taiwan Pavilion combined striking on-site displays with targeted digital marketing, generating nearly 3.94 million impressions and attracting over 400 professional buyers from Czechia, Ukraine, Germany, and surrounding countries. Ads were targeted at industry professionals in manufacturing, engineering, and technical sectors—aligning closely with the machine tool fair’s audience.

Showcasing Advanced Precision Manufacturing

Taiwanese exhibitors highlighted full supply chain capabilities with high-precision solutions:

  • Multi-tasking machining: Milling heads capable of turning operations with 40,000 RPM spindles for complex internal features

  • Cutting tools: High-hardness HRC 45–55 tools manufactured on advanced German grinders for aerospace and mold industries

  • Workholding systems: Precision vices for multi-axis machining, 100% made in Taiwan

  • Oil mist collectors: Five-stage filtration achieving PM 0.5 μm, supporting circular economy and workplace safety

Taiwanese companies demonstrated competitive advantages in precision, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness—key differentiators for Central and Eastern Europe.

Czech Market Insights

  • Market structure: The automotive sector accounts for over 24% of exports, creating strong demand for machine tools, precision components, and smart manufacturing technologies. Mechanical engineering is the second-largest industry, with lathes, grinders, and multi-task machines as major exports; tool accessory exports reached CZK 7.17 billion in 2024.

  • Semiconductor-driven demand: The Czech Semiconductor Center in Brno, coupled with TSMC’s Dresden facility, will increase demand for high-precision, high-purity manufacturing equipment.

  • Competition: Germany dominates Czech imports, holding 28.8% of the machine tool market. Taiwanese manufacturers must compete with established German and Japanese brands, leveraging customization and flexible delivery advantages to meet strict quality standards.

MSV 2025 confirmed its role as a platform for industrial transformation, emphasizing digitalization, AI adoption, and sustainability. Taiwanese companies are encouraged to continue developing the Central and Eastern European market, aligning precision components with local automotive, defense, and semiconductor needs, and offering integrated smart manufacturing solutions to expand their competitive edge.
