TMTS 2026 Concludes with Great Success: Cross-Domain Ecosystem Collaboration Yields Remarkable Results
The 2026 Taiwan International Machine Tool Show (TMTS), organized by the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA), officially concluded today. Throughout the four-day exhibition, the atmosphere for business negotiations remained vibrant, with continuous opportunities emerging. The event successfully attracted professional buyers from over 80 countries, totaling nearly 73,000 visits from domestic and international participants. International visitors accounted for approximately 10% of the total attendance, with procurement effects estimated to exceed USD 2 billion.

This year’s exhibition not only delved into the tangible achievements of Taiwan's machine tool industry in "Digital Transformation" and "Green Transformation," but also leveraged cross-sector integration within the AI ecosystem. This powerfully demonstrated to the world that Taiwan has successfully evolved from selling individual machines to providing "complete solutions for industrial applications," officially becoming an indispensable strategic partner in global smart manufacturing.
Reviewing the highlights of the exhibition, the Taiwanese machine tool industry has fully entered a new chapter of "AI Empowerment". The fusion of physical production lines and virtual environments was visible throughout the venue. By constructing precise Digital Twin environments through open platforms, global buyers were able to transcend geographical limitations to monitor equipment in real-time and accurately predict production capacity, significantly shortening the decision-making chain for complex manufacturing processes. Furthermore, equipment has been fully integrated with AI technology to enhance intelligent self-optimization capabilities, pushing processing precision to new heights and showcasing Taiwan's leading position in hardware-software integration.

In terms of industrial applications, the exhibition showcased successful alignments with high-end sectors such as semiconductors, energy, and aerospace manufacturing. Top domestic manufacturers have moved beyond operating in isolation; through strategic alliances and technical sharing, they presented comprehensive integrated solutions woven from a "Value Chain Ecosystem," achieving a full-spectrum layout ranging from stand-alone machines to multi-axis multitasking machining. Simultaneously, in response to global carbon reduction trends, the "Green Manufacturing" solutions unveiled at the event became a focal point for international buyers, assisting enterprises in achieving sustainable operations while pursuing peak efficiency.
To optimize the visitor experience and facilitate business matchmaking, the "TMTS Digital Treasure Hunt" was specially organized. Through themed challenge routes, professional buyers and visitors were guided to visit iconic manufacturers to experience the latest R&D achievements in AI empowerment and sustainable production firsthand. The response to the activity was extremely enthusiastic, with a total of 4 air tickets and over 200 generous prizes awarded, allowing participants to gain industrial knowledge and master technological trends while returning home with a wealth of rewards and surprises.

Additionally, this edition of TMTS demonstrated strong "City Marketing" integration. Through deep collaboration with the Taichung City Government, transportation services, tourism accommodations, and city tours were fully optimized, extending the exhibition experience from the halls to the entire city. By combining local delicacies and specialty souvenirs during the exhibition period, TMTS is estimated to have generated NTD 26 million in city tourism business opportunities. This allowed domestic and international buyers to experience the charm and hospitality of Taichung alongside their professional business discussions, successfully transforming an industry event into a cultural and technological exchange feast.
