L&L Machinery Wins the 31st SME Innovation Research Award

Since its establishment, L&L Machinery has adhered to its core business philosophy of “Technology,” “Quality,” “Efficiency,” “Sustainability,” and “Heritage.” With the determination to focus on one mission for 30 years, we have insisted on independent R&D, design, and manufacturing. From traditional to CNC lathes, five-axis turning-milling centers, and multi-axis compound machining centers, we have built a comprehensive product line structure. Our core goal is to develop intelligent machinery and manufacturing, and to advance system integration with cutting-edge technologies.

L&L’s compound cutting machine tools are suitable for applications in green energy, petrochemical, metal and steel, shipbuilding, power, and aerospace industries. This year, at the 31st SME Innovation Research Award, L&L Machinery is honored to receive recognition for our “LLS Heavy-Duty Multi-Axis Compound Machining Center.” Compared to previous models, this machine achieves multiple innovative breakthroughs. Its main features include:

1. Newly designed cutting motion structure
2. Main carriage enabling simultaneous turning and polishing functions
3. Sub carriage enabling simultaneous turning and grinding processes
4. Capability to complete turning, milling, grinding, and polishing in one setup for a single heavy-duty long-shaft workpiece; load capacity increased from 15 tons to 25 tons, length extended from 9 meters to 13 meters
5. CNC programmable hydraulic steady rest structure, allowing input of relevant values based on processing needs
6. Integrated design of user-friendly and ergonomic hardware and software interface
7. Highly integrated electromechanical and intelligent control system, improving work efficiency and enhancing safety
