TMBA Corporate Volunteer Alliance: Weaving the Path of Industrial Public Welfare and Sustainability
On the morning of November 17, the Taichung City Government Assembly Hall was bustling with excitement, hosting the annual Greater Taichung Corporate Volunteer Day. This grand event attracted over a hundred distinguished guests and corporate volunteer partners to share their fruitful achievements in the field of public welfare. Deputy Mayor Cheng Chao-Hsin and TuoKai Foundation Chairman Shen Wen-Zhen were invited as award presenters, honoring companies and volunteers in Taichung who actively participated in public welfare and made outstanding contributions. In his speech, Deputy Mayor Cheng emphasized that corporate volunteers are not only the backbone of enterprises but also role models for society. Their selfless dedication and efforts deserve respect and emulation.
After the award ceremony, Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan delivered a keynote speech, using Taoyuan City as an example to illustrate how municipal governments and private sectors can work hand in hand to promote social responsibility. He stressed that corporate volunteers play a crucial role—not only as messengers of goodwill but also as practitioners of social responsibility. His remarks resonated deeply with the audience, who expressed that they had gained valuable insights. The TMBA Corporate Volunteer Alliance was also invited to participate in this event and received a certificate of appreciation for its contributions to public welfare. Wu You-Jie, Convener of TMBA Social Responsibility Committee, accepted the award on behalf of the Alliance. TMBA expressed gratitude to the Taichung City Government and all sectors for their support and recognition of corporate volunteers. Moving forward, the TMBA Corporate Volunteer Alliance will continue to encourage more machine tool and related companies to engage in public welfare activities, bringing more positive energy to society.
The ceremony and summit concluded with enthusiastic applause. Participants openly shared their experiences in public welfare, sparking new ideas through exchanges and injecting continuous momentum into future social welfare and sustainability efforts. The Greater Taichung Corporate Volunteer Day is not only an occasion for recognition and encouragement but also a platform for communication and learning, enabling more people to understand the importance of corporate volunteers and inspiring more companies and individuals to join the ranks of public welfare. The successful organization of this event once again proves the vital role corporate volunteers play in driving social progress. With more enterprises and volunteers participating, Taiwan’s public welfare undertakings will surely flourish, bringing more warmth and hope to society.
