33rd Taiwan Excellence Awards: Chevalier Wins Gold, HIWIN Secures Silver
The “Taiwan Excellence Awards,” often hailed as the Oscars of the industry, held its award ceremony on November 27 at Hall 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. At this year’s 33rd ceremony, 30 outstanding products were honored with Gold and Silver Awards, recognizing companies for their exceptional performance in adopting new AI technologies, emphasizing sustainable development, integrating across disciplines, and pursuing innovation.
Nearly 500 distinguished guests attended the event, including Vice Minister of Economic Affairs Chen Cheng-Chi, Secretary General of the Bureau of Foreign Trade Dai Wan-Rong, TAITRA Chairman Huang Chih-Fang, foreign diplomats stationed in Taiwan, and key figures from academia and industry, all celebrating the relentless pursuit of excellence by Taiwan’s award-winning enterprises.
The Taiwan Excellence Awards are evaluated annually based on five key dimensions: R&D, design, quality, marketing, and Taiwan-based manufacturing. This year, 155 companies submitted 286 products for review. After rigorous assessment by experts from diverse fields, the winners emerged as outstanding representatives of Taiwan’s industry. These products will carry the “Taiwan Excellence” brand in global marketing efforts, further enhancing Taiwan’s image and competitiveness in international markets.
Among the winners were eight member companies of the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA): Dah Lih Machinery Co., Ltd., Delta Electronics, Inc., Gifu Enterprise Co., Ltd., TBI Motion Technology Co., Ltd., Tongtai Machine & Tool Co., Ltd., Chevalier Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., and others. These companies stood out amid fierce competition!
Products that advanced to the second stage of Gold and Silver Award selection underwent additional scrutiny by experts from the U.S., U.K., Germany, Japan, and Taiwan. Chevalier Machinery earned the highest honor—the Gold Award—for its “UA432L Green Energy Three-in-One Linear Motor Wire-Cut EDM,” while HIWIN Technologies received the Silver Award for its “High-Speed EDM Milling Head RCH-100E.”
