TMBA Launches the “AI-Powered Certification,” Ushering the Machine Tool Industry into a New AI-Powered Era

Facing the global rise of AI in manufacturing, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) is advancing its “Dual Transformation” strategy. After launching the Energy-Saving Certification at TMTS 2024 to drive Green Transformation (GX), TMBA now introduces the new AI-Powered Certification, marking a key milestone toward Digital Transformation (DX).

Driving AI Adoption to Create New Smart Manufacturing Value

This year, TMBA adopted AI to enhance member services and held over 30 workshops with nearly 2,200 participants. To accelerate industry-wide AI application, TMBA will launch the AI-Powered Certification in Q4 2025, selecting companies and products that demonstrate outstanding AI integration and setting new industry benchmarks.

Certification Categories and Application

Open to all TMBA members, the certification includes:

• Enterprise Category: AI applied to internal operations to boost efficiency.

• Product Category: Machine tools, components, or equipment enhanced by AI.

Winners will receive the AI-Powered Enterprise or AI-Powered Product certification, while PoC-stage projects will receive recognition. Certified companies may use the official mark and join TMBA’s marketing activities.

Awards Ceremony at TMTS 2026

The Dual Transformation Awards will be presented on March 25, 2026, recognizing both Energy-Saving and AI-Powered achievers. Awarded products will be showcased at TMTS 2026, highlighting Taiwan’s innovation in sustainability and smart manufacturing, and reinforcing the global competitiveness of “Made in Taiwan.”
