TMBA’s Energy Efficiency and AI Empowerment Label programs highlight Taiwan’s machine tool industry’s progress in digital and green transformation. Thirteen products passed the energy efficiency assessment, while AI recognition covered six companies and ten products. Applications span thermal error compensation, quality prediction, predictive maintenance, intelligent quotation, and knowledge management. Companies are increasingly integrating AI into research, production, management, and after-sales services, alongside energy-saving design and carbon data management. Supported by the Industrial Development Administration and PMC, the programs showcase industry achievements and encourage businesses to translate technological advances into measurable customer benefits, stronger product differentiation, and greater competitiveness in international markets.
To propel the industry toward a smarter and more sustainable future, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) has conducted the 3rd "Energy-Saving Label" and the inaugural "AI Excellence Label" evaluations. These labels represent the industry's achievements in Digital Transformation (DX) and Green Transformation (GX), aligning with the TMTS 2026 theme: "AI-Powered Sustainable Manufacturing."
Facing the global rise of AI in manufacturing, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) is advancing its “Dual Transformation” strategy. After launching the Energy-Saving Certification at TMTS 2024 to drive Green Transformation (GX), TMBA now introduces the new AI-Powered Certification, marking a key milestone toward Digital Transformation (DX).
The Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA) held the Machine Tool "Energy Label Award Ceremony and Cross-Industry Application Process Requirements Exchange Forum" on January 10th. The event honored the recipients of the 1st and 2nd Green Energy Labels for machine tools and component products.
Following the successful execution of the inaugural "Machine Tool Industry Energy Label" assessment at TMTS 2024 (Taiwan International Machine Tool Show), the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA) received widespread positive feedback from the industry. Machine tool and component manufacturers have continuously invested in green technology R&D and improvements. Therefore, the TMBA has continued the effort by organizing the 2nd Machine Tool Industry Energy Label Assessment to identify energy-efficient machine tools or components, assisting end-users in their selection process.
