Steely Resolve, Tender Hearts: A New Era of Mutual Prosperity A Summary of the TMBA Volunteer Alliance (Second Half of 2025) and the 2026 Outlook
Warm Benevolence Within a Robust Industry
In the landscape of Taiwan’s machine tool industry, "precision" is our foundation and "efficiency" is our pursuit. However, 2025 marked a milestone for the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) in demonstrating its "soft power." Through the "TMBA Corporate Volunteer Alliance," initiated by the Social Responsibility (S) Committee, we wrote countless moving chapters in the second half of the year. From accompanying seniors in the height of summer to mountain cleaning in autumn, and mobilizing support for the underprivileged at year-end—every drop of sweat and every donation converged into the most powerful warm current for industrial transformation.

2025 H2 Review: From Action to Advocacy, Love Never Ceases
1. Guarding Our Forests: Autumn Mountain Cleaning and Environmental Commitment
As autumn arrived, the Alliance’s footprint extended from the oceans to the mountains. Following the beach cleanups in the first half of the year, we organized "Mountain Cleaning Actions." By physically trekking through trails to remove waste, corporate volunteers practiced environmental sustainability (the "E" in ESG), allowing their devotion to the land to rise in tandem with the altitude.
2. Walking with Love During Festivities: Mid-Autumn Charity and Seasonal Donations
Charitable advocacy grew even more steadfast in the latter half of the year. We launched the "Mid-Autumn Charity Gift Box Program," inviting member manufacturers to support products from social welfare organizations. This was followed by themed donations in Q3 and Q4:
-
Q3: Partnered with the Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation to launch the "Adult Guardianship—Support Program for Bereft and Disabled Seniors."
-
Q4: Mobilized industry leaders to support the Taitung JALILI Foundation’s "Tribal Starlight Outposts" project. By supporting "Starlight Teachers" stationed in remote eastern regions, we lit a lamp of protection for children after school hours.
3. The Peak of Honor: Charity Awards Ceremony at the General Assembly
Philanthropy should not be a silent endeavor but an honor to be proud of. During the TMBA General Assembly in October 2025, we held the "Annual Charity Awards." By publicly recognizing participating member companies, we not only provided manufacturers with a well-deserved sense of contribution but also fostered a positive atmosphere of "Common Prosperity through Philanthropy" within the industry.

Feedback: Deep Connections from "Networking" to "Heart-working"
By the end of 2025, our annual achievements were significant: 40 participating member companies, 70 volunteer shifts, and total donations (including TMBA’s contribution) exceeding NT$1.17 million. Yet, the feedback beyond the data was even more touching. Many corporate leaders discovered that the Volunteer Alliance is not just a channel for social contribution, but a platform for connecting people, hearts, and interests.
-
Connecting People: Transcending commercial competition, we met like-minded partners on the front lines of charity.
-
Connecting Hearts: Amidst sweat and smiles, a foundation of deep mutual trust was built between enterprises.
-
Connecting Interests: This trust, built on goodwill, eventually translated into tighter synergy within the industrial supply chain.
2026 Outlook: Shaping a New Industrial Height with Proactive Mindset
Building on the fruitful results of 2025, the TMBA Volunteer Alliance has demonstrated a forward-looking and proactive stance for 2026:
-
Deepening Roots and Expanding Reach: Broader Charitable Contributions To implement the original intent of "extensive and widespread giving," we will actively recognize "Corporate Participation Incentive Points" in 2026. In the future, even if a member’s donation theme differs slightly from the seasonal call (e.g., Lunar New Year aid to a different organization), it can still be reported for incentive points. This flexibility demonstrates the Association's respect for members' compassion and adds elasticity to ESG practices.
-
The Bellwether Effect: Leadership-Led Donations With the support of the Board of Directors and Supervisors, a formal donation proposal was passed for 2026. Leaders at all levels—from the Chairman and Vice Chairmen to Executive Directors and Supervisors—will take the lead in responding to donation calls. This top-down leadership will drive philanthropic awareness across the entire machine tool industry, strengthening the industry's charitable leadership.
-
Talent Sustainability: Deepening Student Visits and Career Exploration In 2026, we will more actively facilitate student visits from the Taichung-Changhua-Nantou region to our enterprises. Companies of all sizes that show active interest have been included in our key tracking list. This is not only philanthropy but also a strategy to attract potential talent, allowing students to witness the charm and potential of smart manufacturing.
Let Us Ignite the Flame of Mutual Prosperity Together
"Philanthropy is not a slogan; it is the highest medal of practicing corporate value."
Looking back at the highlights of the second half of 2025, we see that the people of the machine tool industry can not only build the backbone of the economy but also possess soft and compassionate hearts. Facing 2026, we are filled with proactivity and anticipation. Our mindset is no longer just to "participate," but to "lead"; not just to "donate," but to "connect."
We sincerely invite every member who has not yet joined us to walk hand-in-hand in our future endeavors. Let us use this "Steely Resolve and Tender Hearts" to collectively build a more sustainable, loving, and prosperous Taiwanese society!
