The ELIMI Development Association officially launched on June 18, 2025, with Enid Tsai of HIWIN Technologies as Founding Chairperson. Evolving from the "A Grain of Rice" network, ELIMI (Elegant Leaders in Machinery Industry) aims to unite female leaders to drive a "gentle revolution" in manufacturing. Centered on transformation, growth, warmth, and innovation, the association has expanded its reach from precision machinery to the entire manufacturing sector. By showcasing a collaboratively crafted "butterfly brooch," members demonstrated peak craftsmanship and the power of female leadership. ELIMI serves as a supportive ecosystem, empowering women to redefine Taiwan’s industrial landscape through collaboration and shared prosperity.
The 2024 Elimi Cycling Consensus Camp took place in Kenting, where female executives embraced the challenge of e-bike riding while enjoying scenic spots like Guanshan Sunset, Eluanbi, and Longpan Grassland. The event blended dynamic cycling with cultural experiences such as exploring Hengchun Old Town and crafting agave-fiber bottle holders. Evenings featured wine, heartfelt conversations, and management insights emphasizing service marketing and attention to detail. Additionally, Project Manager Chen Yu-Ting addressed global net-zero trends, explaining carbon footprint, regulations, and supply chain requirements. She offered strategies for emission reduction and reassured businesses about manageable steps. The government and industry alliances are actively promoting carbon neutrality through tools, training programs, and collaborative initiatives, helping companies transform while maintaining competitiveness.
elimi’s summer gathering featured a visit to TPI Bearings, showcasing its leadership in technology, smart manufacturing, and ESG sustainability. TPI excels in precision bearing production while actively promoting public welfare and environmental protection, embodying a spirit of coexistence and mutual growth. The event also included a keynote by Hao Xu-Lie, who shared three core principles—“Expand Boundaries, Begin with the End in Mind, and Action is King.” Through humor and practical insights, Hao explained the essence of logical thinking and wealth awareness, emphasizing that knowledge becomes valuable only when remembered and applied, leaving participants deeply inspired.
elimi’s Spring Gathering featured a visit to Tiangong Precision Machinery, where Executive VP Huang Peici shared how the company overcame crises while upholding its “Three More, Three Solid” culture. Since 2018, Tiangong has set annual business themes, with 2024 focusing on “Start with Thinking, Befriend Technology, End with Customers.” Goals include winning a sustainability award in 2025 and achieving 100% green electricity by 2030. Chairman Huang emphasized challenges as growth fuel and prioritizes employee welfare and well-being. The event also invited Sophie from Taiwan Ocean Sailing School to encourage women to embrace sailing, learn skills, explore themselves, and realize their future.
The “Elimi” Women Managers Association of the Machine Tool Guild held its year-end winter gathering in Tainan, coinciding with the city’s 400th anniversary. The event featured a cultural video on Tainan’s history and a shared reading of two books: The Blue Zone Challenge and Flying with Shackles. Editors and authors discussed healthy lifestyle practices and resilience in adversity. The group also honored former chairwoman Mei-Hua Tu with a tribute video and celebrated her birthday, reinforcing themes of positivity and unity. In late 2022, the elimi Women Managers’ Association visited Chenbro’s sustainable Chiayi plant and appointed Lulu Yen (VP of Tongtai) as its 6th President. Under the theme "Empowering Beauty, Diverse Value Creation," Yen established specialized committees to promote the core values of warmth, innovation, and excellence. Marking its 10th anniversary, elimi continues to empower female leaders in the traditionally male-dominated machinery industry. Beyond site visits and professional growth, the association remains committed to social responsibility, donating to the Happy Learning Association to support underprivileged children and driving a culture of mutual prosperity.
