The ELIMI Development Association officially launched on June 18, 2025, with Enid Tsai of HIWIN Technologies as Founding Chairperson. Evolving from the "A Grain of Rice" network, ELIMI (Elegant Leaders in Machinery Industry) aims to unite female leaders to drive a "gentle revolution" in manufacturing. Centered on transformation, growth, warmth, and innovation, the association has expanded its reach from precision machinery to the entire manufacturing sector. ELIMI serves as a supportive ecosystem, empowering women to redefine Taiwan’s industrial landscape through collaboration and shared prosperity.

The 21st Hiwin Thesis Award ceremony saw Lu Bo-ting and Professor Yang Shih-chin from NTU win the Gold Award and NT$1 million for their thesis on axial flux motor application in satellite reaction wheels, making NTU the biggest winner. Celebrating 21 years, the award consistently motivates mechanical engineering students and faculty, evidenced by Professor Yang's progression from a student winner to a Gold Award professor.

The TIMTOS 2025 report highlights the award winners from the second part of the 17th Machine Tool "Research, Development, and Innovation Product" Competition, covering the "Other CNC Machine Tools and Manufacturing Cells," "Components for CNC Machine Tools," and the "Eco-Friendly, Smart Product Innovation Award." This year's entries demonstrate the Taiwanese machine tool industry's significant advancements in green manufacturing and smart technology. Key awardees and innovative technologies include: CHUAN HSIN’s hydrostatic wafer grinding machine, offering high-precision, low-vibration solutions for semiconductor SiC wafer thinning; EXCETEK and CHMER’s smart, energy-saving Wire Cut EDMs, featuring energy recovery, substantial carbon emission reduction, and efficiency improvements; and HIWIN’s RCH-100E High-Speed EDM Milling Head, upgrading traditional EDM to highly efficient EDM Milling. As global tensions ease and net-zero trends accelerate in 2025, the 17th "Machine Tool R&D Innovation Award" was held at TIMTOS. The Grand Prize was awarded to Fatek Technology for its BMC-135FTS Boring Machine, which excelled through modular design, high-load capacity, and AR-based remote maintenance. Other winners, including Wele and Tongtai, showcased advancements in 5-axis multitasking, digital twin anti-collision systems, and energy monitoring. The industry is clearly pivoting toward high precision, intelligence, and low-carbon emissions, actively aligning with international ESG and CBAM sustainability standards.

The 33rd Taiwan Excellence Awards were held on November 27 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, honoring companies for outstanding achievements in AI technology, sustainability, and cross-disciplinary innovation. This year, 155 companies submitted 286 products, with 30 winning Gold and Silver Awards. TMBA member companies stood out, as Chevalier Machinery earned the Gold Award for its “UA432L Green Energy Three-in-One Linear Motor Wire-Cut EDM,” while HIWIN Technologies received the Silver Award for its “High-Speed EDM Milling Head RCH-100E.”

On November 17, the Taichung City Government hosted the “Greater Taichung Corporate Volunteer Day” to honor corporate volunteers for their contributions to public welfare and social responsibility.
