The 66th MSV Brno International Engineering Fair (MSV 2025) successfully took place from October 7–10, 2025, at the Brno Exhibition Centre. As Central Europe’s largest and most influential industrial event, this year’s MSV focused on the critical theme of “Industry Transformation,” attracting 1,356 exhibitors from 40 countries and over 55,000 professional visitors. Nearly 80% of attendees hold decision-making power, with one-third in senior management, highlighting MSV’s value as a business collaboration platform.

The world’s premier semiconductor event, SEMICON Taiwan 2025, concluded successfully on September 12. Marking its 30th anniversary, the exhibition was elevated to the status of an International Semiconductor Week under the theme “Together for Innovation.” Over three days, the show attracted more than 100,000 visitors, featured 1,200 companies from 65 countries, and hosted 4,100 booths, underscoring Taiwan’s pivotal role in the global semiconductor supply chain.

During EMO Hannover 2025, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) co-hosted the press conference “AI × Taiwan Machine Tools: Shaping the Future” at the Taiwan Pavilion, attracting strong attention from international media and industry stakeholders. Facing the global rise of AI in manufacturing, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) is advancing its “Dual Transformation” strategy. After launching the Energy-Saving Certification at TMTS 2024 to drive Green Transformation (GX), TMBA now introduces the new AI-Powered Certification, marking a key milestone toward Digital Transformation (DX).

The 2025 Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robot Show in Taipei showcased the profound convergence of AI and robotics. Global leaders like NVIDIA and Intel, alongside ITRI, explored the era of "Physical AI," highlighting how digital twins and edge computing accelerate the transition from simulation to real-world deployment. As the industry adapts to the new ISO 10218:2025 and the EU AI Act, safety protocols are expanding to include AI decision-making and human trust. On the hardware front, the focus remains on humanoid robots, integrated drive modules, and autonomous quadrupeds like Swiss ANYbotics for industrial inspection. Practical applications have already yielded impressive results, such as slashing lead times from 22 days to 3 and optimizing inventory turnover. TAIROA Chairman S.Y. Sit concluded that Taiwan must leverage its mechatronics expertise to lead in hardware R&D, positioning safety-centric AI integration as the primary engine for industrial upgrades.

The 2024 "Intelligent Asia" exhibition in Taipei marked a historic milestone, drawing over 330,000 visitors to witness the latest advancements in "AI Robotics." The event highlighted how AI and edge computing have become the primary engines for smart manufacturing. Key technological breakthroughs featured include NVIDIA-powered humanoid robot simulations, enhanced collaborative robots (cobots) with integrated AI vision, and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) that utilize Digital Twin technology to address labor shortages and supply chain complexities. Beyond the factory floor, robotic applications are rapidly diversifying into service, healthcare, and domestic sectors. Furthermore, in alignment with global ESG trends, AI-driven energy management and green manufacturing solutions emerged as critical themes. With the industry output projected to exceed NT$1 trillion, the exhibition underscores Taiwan's pivotal role in the global AI robotics supply chain. Overall, Intelligent Asia 2024 provided a comprehensive blueprint for a future defined by human-machine collaboration, digital intelligence, and sustainable industrial growth.

In response to global tariff pressures and the restructuring of manufacturing, PMC and TMBA hosted a seminar to bolster the international branding of Taiwan's machine tool industry. Despite export declines, experts emphasized "AI empowerment" and "Digital Transformation" as key recovery strategies. Highlights include tapping into the "European Chip Triangle" in Central and Eastern Europe, utilizing digital tools like AiEZ TRADE for real-time tariff tracking, and shifting from solo efforts to "strategic alliances" via models like the SPEMA Alliance. Success stories demonstrate that SMEs can effectively expand into US, Japanese, and European markets by integrating AI marketing with brand storytelling to achieve sustainable smart manufacturing.
